That way there seems to be something to do for those who don't live under the bonnet of their motors. Add to that I spend time under bonnets, learning what I can, I also get to see a lot of places with like minded people who don't mind being dragged round.

Might even be able to add in things like go-karting etc, however keeping costs down for attendants is priority, my mileage from Watford -> Wolverhampton -> Southampton via Swindon on Sunday was around 300ish before entry fees come into it.
now i like that idea alot, with some advance planning & numbers of people who will be turning up i can't see why someone can't get in contact with the venue & see about organising a group discount to keep the costs down

Just a few more ideas for the kitty, I definately think this is an excellent step forward, whilst I put my car in for the BKV last year, I know a lot of the stuff I do to my cars isn't healthy to my marks If nothing else, Sunday seemed to break a few of the invisible barriers between the models, which is only ever a good thing.
i totally agree, it was really nice to see that it didn't matter what model, spec, state Volvo you turned up in

I'd also like to say a big thanks to Pedro for suggesting it in the first place, V6Man, Griz, Logical Tuning & Mike Brace for helping organise. It was a joint effort

Also, to everyone who came and made it so enjoyable

Last year I was campaigning for changes to the BKV so a lot of interesting cars were not left in the car park. Nothing changed but we have created our own way forward firstly through V3M meets and now through the Forum meets. These meets provide that missing magic for the owners who have a different way of using and appreciating their cars and most importantly do not judge others for what they do with them. Again on Sunday my estate arrived in its usual working state dirty and full of bits and pieces. No body batted an eye lid.
To try and ensure the best possible turnout we need to put a post on each seperate models section. I no some people only read there own model and nothing else.

Mike

I'm new to the VOC scene although not the Volvo scene and I've only heard about what happened to Foggy at the BKV . Just out of interest, what changes have you been campaigning for?

Great idea Mike about the posting, I'm going to start posting to try and drum up some interest on another forum too.
