Hi.

Can anybody help me.
Picked up my v50 2.0d yesterday. I have no boost
boost. I have plugged it into my diagnostic tool and it bought up P2263. Which as stated seems to be vaccum Pipe. I have looked under under the bonnet and can't see any pipes loose. I'm not 100% sure on where or what to look at. Can someone point me in the right direction.

Thanks
Chris

I replaced the TCV on mine and that seemed to solve it. New TCV, Tank of shell nitro+ and a bit of a bootfull for pretty much a whole tank and now its fine! I think driving it like a bit of a granny for economy didn't help. A bootfull a day keeps the garage away is my new slogan!

Hi all,

I seem to be having this problem now, engine feeling sluggish with no boost and dash light on. Code reads P2263 (turbocharger boost performance). Got no strange noises and can't find any split or loose pipes? If I erase the code, it comes back on within a few miles? Someone has told me it could be sticking turbo actuator or is that the tcv?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I've been having similar problems with my 2008 2.0D Euro4. Hesitation on acceleration, turbo owling but otherwise started fine, idled smoothly and fuel economy ok. Only one DTC code - P2263. Car serviced including fuel filter change but still hesitating.

Checked hoses but all seemed ok with no splits or cracks. After reading the forums i replaced the TCV near the battery but no change so decided to swap with the one under the fuel filter. To access this I removed the plastic pipe to the throttle body - and found it full of oil/crud. The temperature sensor was coated so cleaned that off with petrol. The MAP sensor (which is also a boost sensor) looked filthy so I replaced it (£9.09 from Europarts). Gave the throttle body a quick wipe - I'll do it properly later, and reassembled. Cleared the DTC code and took the car on a run. A few hesitations to start but as ECU 'relearned', power came back with avengence. Rechecked after run and no DTCs thrown. Fingers crossed!

Did you ever keep hold of this power, or did you find other issues you later resolved?

Default P2263 code

Like so many, I’ve had issues with my V50 2.0d throwing P2263, no or intermittent turbo, rough running. I changed TCV, MAP and EGR ... and more. Turned out it was the air filter that was clogged up - and it had been replaced less than 12 months earlier. So, my advice would be to get a service done before anything else!
