Default Intermittant dash

2001 XC70

For no obvious reason, all of the displays on my dash stopped working (speedo, tach, temp and fuel) As well, all of the lights went out. Every thing on the centre console continued to function normally. Several minutes later, everything came good. This cycle of off/on has occurred several time in the last 3 trips in the car.

Additionally, I am now getting a warning message about the SRS airbag needing immediate service.

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks

Al Craig

Common fault upto around 2004 cars.
The main processor chip gets dry joints and causes all sorts of random faults as the car ages.
Good news is that a chap on here can fix them quickly with great results. Look up ‘spokulozik’ in the traders section, sticky thread near the top.

Regit,
Thanks, but I am in Australia. There's no way I can get the ECM to your guy.
