Can be if intake manifold is leaking? Maybe that sound is coming from intake manifold?

And car starts to loose water a lil bit. Dont know. I will sell the **** and buy Toyota Auris 1.6 N/A and turn off AC while overtaking.

My mistake, your engine will have a VNT type turbo so electronically controlled by an actuator, I was thinking of the earlier D5.

Have a read through this thread - https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=279903 - as it may be similar to your issue (see post 11).

So the resonator pipe and its orange coloured silicone seals are a common failure on the 2.4 D5. Some go with the resonator delete option, which can eliminate these issues, but Volvo fitted the resonator for good reason whereby vibration may be evident at certain engine revs and load.

See vid below (credit to Tropix Media) as to how the seals blow apart and also see where the retainer tabs break away from the plastic pipe:

I dont have like that, something different. I will see in VIDA latwr but by ordering parts from Skandix, following my VIN number, that part I dont have. Probably it's for P2 185hp. I will see later in VIDA
Thanks for the effort

Ahh crap...I thought that same resonator were used across the 5 cylinder diesel up until 2015/16...I'll get my coat

Skandix are a pretty good resource but they don't have an exclusive parts list, as Volvo do, so won't list everything for our cars. Just in case you are relying on them for parts reference.

Did you manage to have a look from below? VIDA will reveal all.

Tomorrow after job I will take a look at friend's garage just to see what's wrong and what to order. But I will bring VIDA with me and list parts numbers and order immediately. I will drive in turbo lag, so no highway tomorrow. Just slowly driving to work and then to friend

Hi guys

I was under the car

Looks like I have that turbo resonator, but looks fin. So I dont see oil deposit, nothing is oily, everything is dry. If seals are done, should I have oil on part?

Something else I dont see. It's hell of job to remove that part because hose clamps are not reachable, but I will manage somehow to do it. Just wonder if that's the problem because part is clean

Any suggestions please?

I will order seals if I find and boost sensor to be sure (that on intercooler)

Hard to say, because I don't really know what am I looking at :-(

But, it could be, yes... Little triangle shape crack/hole on the left?

Is that some kind of rubber seal at the edge of the plastic hose which is bent there?

Didn't you listen to the Whoooosh while under the car?
