  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Exclamation Please Help.

Heya i have a 440 2.0i which i wanna make real smart, its currently posted in 'projects' jus wondered how difficult it is to remove the bump strips down the side? is the paintwork underneath ok??? please help. thanks

Pintwork will be OK, theyre only stuck on with sticky pads. Pull trim off with your fingers, it will bend and ruin trim but it won't matter to you. Then use a solvent such as brake cleaner etc and a plastic scraper to remove sticky strips.

Hi, probably nobodies taken the bump strips off - that's why there's been no replies! I would think that it depends on how the strips are stuck on as there's a good chance that you'll have to do some paint work when you take 'em off! Why don't you get an old 440 door from a scrappy and experiment!
