Hi.
Have no experience with the 1.6 drive e but have herd they are very under powered and would belive this to be the case. It's a lot of car for a very small engine. I only have personal experience with the 5pot engines and love them to pieces smooth and reliable volvo engine. But that's just me |

The best, long lived and more reliable V70's have the Volvo 5-cylinder engines. Longer service intervals too :-)

Just thought I would give you guys an update.
Still have the motor only had 1 problem with her she went in limp mode once. Codes read point at egr. So cleaned it all up not had a problem since. Now covered well over 2000miles in her with not a single problem. She has had a full service and a remap 204bhp since buying. The only annoyance is the boot handle does not return closed position by its self have to move it back by hand. Hopefully a good spray of lube with fixes this. (Just ain't got to it yet) But over all very happy with her. I'm averaging about 38mpg on A roads (hour to work) and about 42mpg on motorway trips (when the motorway is moving 🤣 |
