Default Snabb short throw kit.

Has anyone here fitted one ?

The gear change is 'ok' on my '99 T5 but occasionally it feels a little vague and I find myself leaning forward in an effort to make sure the lever is 'home'.
I'm new to the car so I realise we will eventually mesh, but the thought of a shortened throw really appeals, probably because I can move through the 'box with one finger in my other car, an '04 MX-5..... the gear change in that car is like working a well-lubed rifle bolt.

I haven’t but I’m interested in this. Seems fairly easy to install.

I’ve got it in my C70 for the last 4 years maybe. Never had an issue and it’s been great. I also did the Delrin Shifter assemble kit as well and that makes a difference. I went through Snabb US as there wasn’t an agent in the UK at the time.
I had a slight issue with the wrong size spacers sent, just emailed them and correct kit was sent.

you can make one at home for about 10 pounds

2 x 608 sealed bearings

small piece of 5mm aluminium

6mm and 8mm drill bits

few m8 washers

1 m8 x 35mm bolt

1 m8 nylok nut

m5 x 35mm bolt and nylok nut

i can knock you up the aluminium bits if you havent got any

on ME7 p80s they have a larger bush so 608 bearing wont work in those linkage ends

Do you think you could make a short shift kit up and retail it (very nice stuff in your link by the way) for say, £40, and still make an honest profit ?
Theres an opportunity there I think.
£80-odd for the Snabb is a little OTT....

Mines a '99 V70 T5. Any pics of your bumper extensions on a similar car ?
I'm having my bumper repainted soon so is it an easy fit ? Fog light mounts unaffected ?

Have you tried moving the seat forward?

Yes, but with my nose pressed against the screen I couldn't see the sat nav.

As said these can be machined up for pennies plus you can actually make it alot better than snaab.

But you wont find me paying that sort of cash

So, would you be willing to make up kits and sell them to members then ?
I'll be your first customer.

Yeah, I'll take one if you do.
I'm new to Volvos. So just to be sure...
It'll fit an 02 V70 T5?
If so, I'm your second customer. I am enjoying this car, but the gear linkage is definitely 18 years old!
