Default V50 2.0D offside driveshaft 06 plate

Hi all,
V50 is in garage for wheel bearing replacment. Just had call to say that the driveshaft also needs replacing. Does anyone know where to get a driveshaft that is cheaper than Volvo's main dealer pricing? Anyone have a decent second hand one spare? I've been quoted £300 from the garage.

Rapidly losing faith with the V50. Had it since February and seems to have no end of issues. Have an old V70 1999 and it just soldiers on. It's pretty joyless and horrible to drive, but it goes on, and on, and on...

Thanks!
Sam.

Well, it's a possibility, but what can I do? I wonder if the Ford Focus has the same drive shaft?

worth ringing a few car parts places as many now do exchange units.

FRF Volvo (google it) are on the forums and do parts direct... should be cheaper than what a main dealer will try and ream you for it.
