S40: I need a new central locking remote key

S40 / V40 '96-'04 General Forum for the Volvo S40 and V40 (Classic) Series from 1995-2004.

VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

Bobisok21 New Member Last Online: May 26th, 2022 18:50 Join Date: Feb 2013 Location: Ossett	I need a new central locking remote key The remote central locking key fob has had an intermittent fault for months now where it won't unlock or lock the car. Obviously I have changed the battery but this made no difference at all. Spoke to 2 Volvo dealers about a replacement (it's the one with the flip out key blade) but told it is no longer available and they can't re - program a secondhand one. Has anyone got any suggestions as I don't want to keep using the key in the lock.
