Likewise, I'm looking for a 5-bar gauge and sender (for my 240). I've already got a 3-bar gauge installed but it's a bit pointless seeing as it just sits pegged at 3 bar all the time!

I'll wait for William to let me know his gauge is safely sold, then I'll drop you guys a PM. It probably won't be quite such a stonking deal, but it should be affordable, and there are plenty available. They're not mine, but I can probably put you in touch...

cheers

James

In your situation, Jeff, I'd be highly tempted to buy new. They're £40-50 or so.

I bought mine from a VDO distributor called Low Tension. They used to have a website, but I seem to recall it was gone last time I looked.

The thread for a B200 is M12x1.5, if I remember correctly. I have it written down somewhere, so I can confirm that. Somewhere...somewhere, I will have the full VDO part numbers for the various senders, including the sump plug one for a temp gauge. I could look it up from the VDO catelogue if I wasn't being lazy! The older B19/21/23 blocks have that hole threaded as 1/8" NPT (again, IIRC). The Volvo kits were all 1/8" NPT senders with a brass adaptor...which is what I bought for my 360 a) because it was marginally cheaper that way, and b) just to be anally retentive!

cheers

James

'Right then, who wants to make me an offer for the remaining parts (as a small job-lot)? See post #19 for the parts list.

Or, if anybody has any brand new genuine Volvo parts for my 740 (spec in signature) then I might consider swapping.
