Default NEWBIE here - heated rear screen fuse?

Hello all

Well having lurked here for far too long, this is my first post. I wanted to be an owner of an XC90 before posting - and I now am! After much searching and research into the many variations we eventually picked up an '05 Exec at the weekend and am smitten. Its an awful lot of car! Still working out all of the toys (RTI, RSE etc) and the drive is a little different than I'm used to (Saab 9-5 Aero) but its a lovely car and has been looked after very well.

One thing I noted however in this morning's frost was that the heated rear screen wasn't working - all the elements, not just one or two - which suggests no power to it. Fuse likely do you think? Where would I find the fuse for this? Is it in the rear? Easy to get to?

I've also checked the notorious top engine mount after the suggestions on here (thank you) and am picking a new one up later today - its well past its used by date. Hoping that quietens it down a bit. Not used to this diesel lark!

Thanks

OK a little more research leads me to fuses 37 and 38 in the rear nearside compartment. Tried to check these but I just can't get at them! How on earth do you get at the little things - tried 'unclipping' the fuse box from its holder but (is it?) the subwoofer doesn't allow it to move much more. Do you have to remove all the side trim??

Any help appreciated.

the rear screen will only work when the engine is running normaly .. you can ease the trim back enough with a strong hand to just get to the fuses

Thanks - all sorted Its a devil to get out, but with a little more force than I'd have liked to use I managed to ease the whole fuse box out. Checked the fuses for 37 and 38 and both ok so was a little stumped until I saw a small black connector block hanging loose - it seemed to be the same size as an empty one on the fuse box so plugged it in and hey presto the heated screen now works! Can't think how it got disconnected - wonder how long the previous owner spent with it not working??

Off now this morning to fit a new top engine mount (square type). Easy job I hear from you lot?
