Let me clarify,
There is no entry fee, There are no tickets, You drive a Volvo - you park with the other Volvos - member or not. There are basically four areas for vehicles, 1. Those associated with stands or other clubs. 2. Members cars entered in the actual BKV competition, 3. Other Volvos ( VOC members or not), 4. Non Volvos. Mollusk. |

Hi Mollusk, are there any events going on during Saturday, apart from the evening meal?

Hi Julian,
To a certain extent, being our first recent 2 day Saturday is a little bit of an unknown but we're hoping it will become primarily a "social" day. However the trade stands will be there, the Suffolk & Essex section are putting on a display as are V3M and t5d5 ( audio visual screens in operation in all cases). Thoresby Hall has a craft shopping centre and a military museum on site and I understand that a village cricket match is taking place next to the rally field. No specific VOC group event but a chance to relax and meet other Volvo nuts who would not normally be at a VOC event - such as the VEC, V3M, t5d5, etc. Mollusk. |

Can't see why not - I'm not aware of any rule limiting a member to one car - AFAIK the only requirement is that only VOC members cars may be judged - oh and I think there are grumbles if a "show" car is trailered to the event.
I'm probably not the best person to ask about the arcane nuances of our "shiny car contest" though. Anybody able to clarify ovlov144's question ??? Mollusk. |

As far as I know the criteria for entry to the BKV are;
The car must belong to a member. Be driven to/from the event, Be road legal. Entry to the 'working cars' category must be able to prove an annual mileage of over 10,000 (MOT certs the usual proof). As things are a little different this year trailered cars will be allowed on display, but won't be eligible for the BKV part of the proceedings. |

Got a question about categories actually ...
What categories are there, and who should enter in what? What is meant by "working" cars? I was a little confused at the Southern as it asked which category you were entering in but didn't give you any choices! |
