Default V50 Headlights

OK I must be being a bit dense because I am struggling to remove the headlights on my V50!

I can remove the locking pin and slide the unit out but the electrical plug seems totally solid...Is there a release clip or technique you need to free the plug from the headlight module.

I know its it's easy I am just missing a trick I think

any help appreciated

Ta

there is a tag you press on the plug to unlock it as you pull the plug apart . yes it is stiff .

Ok after breaking the tag on the first one the trick is to GENTLY pull the tab out about 2 or 3 mm as you pull the block. I have put a a bit of PTFE on the plastic to stop it sticking so much.

What sort hand shape do you need to remove the sidelight bulbs! Mine are short and fat so not ideal for this job....Headlight bulbs are a doddle though.

Thanks

open the circular access panel on the top of the lamp and use a pair of thin nose pliers to pull on the cables "gently" and without cutting them ;-)

If you're installined LED's in the sides, make sure you test them before putting it all back together as they only work one way round!!

The key being long thin pliers, not the short modelling one I have !!
