Not at all with new maps mate, just annoying fault delivered by the RTI unit itself. VIDA says MMM-U220044 Control Module Configuration Memory Corrupt, System Internal Failures, Data Memory Failure. Trying to find out is it memory chip faulty or is it any backup battery in the unit which could be flat. Each time ignition is on sat nav screen pops out and starts in the current location in Sweden LoL until it find the signal from gps. It has also all stored locations, last 10 and other settings back to factory ones :/
Let me know your experience with new maps, mate, as I not driving much with my Volvo, more time spending in my truck

Not long, around 20-30 seconds.

Just a update on my trip to heathrow using the new map update , very pleased it worked very well exactly the same as my Garmin with newish maps. I like the Volvo system it's easy to use just wish it had 3 routes to choose from like the Garmin is yours all sorted out now

Thanks for coming back with update, it just confirms my thoughts about new maps. I had to give up for a while with my car, as I've been busy with VW Cup racing at Rockingham. Also I'm waiting for one guy with same problem as mine, who is going to open his DVD unit and check if there is any back up battery. Then I will know what to do next with. Best regards.

I recently bought the update and it seems to work well, however, we have a new major A road extension opened in May 2015 which does not show on the new map. The Elveden bypass on the A11 opened in April 2014 is shown, so it looks like the maps are between 1 and 2 years old.
