Probably just loose:~
They can do that, removal is covered in the manual but basically just knocks off, try twisting as you pull it away. (memory loss here- I don't recall it being a threaded spigot, just push fit) The last one I done had been tightened by winding the end of the stick with tape and then pushing the handle home. Regards Bob. |

Unless of course you have an overdrive switch, then you have to be careful not to disturb the wiring inside. Someone moved my car once, only a few feet to shuffle parking, but pulled the knob off trying to find reverse and pulled all the wires out.

This link may help:~
https://turbobricks.com/index.php?th...wipers.309689/ The motors generally have a long life so worth cleaning/lubricating and checking the earth connection: from memory when the cover is removed you will see the internal earth link. The under dash moving parts can also be lubricated if the glove box is removed. Regards Bob. |

The gearstick top is splined and the knob just pushes onto it- if it’s loose pull it up and off and then try glue/a few winds of tape to secure it.
The wiper motors can corrode inside and cause the magnets to fall off, but it’s easy enough to disassemble, sand the inside and glue the magnets back into place with epoxy. The earth connection is via one of the bolts, but sometimes that connection degrades- adding a separate earth lead helps. Cheers |
