S70 towbar to fit 850 ?

Hi Folks ,
A friend of mine had a witter towbar that he removed from his S70 and gave it to me , I just wanted to know if it would fit my 1996 850 saloon.

When i was looking for mine a towbar specialist told me the S70 and 850 use the same bar.

Handy enough fitted, wee tip though, dont tighten everything until all the bolts are in place, and get a helper to give you a hand taking the bumper off.

if you go to the witter web site it will list the part no for you, if its the same bobs ya uncle.

Hi Mike , I managed to clean some of the muck of the towbar and found the model number VL 32 which is for estate 850 the one I need is the VL 27 for saloon do you think it could still be done just stick out a little more than normal. Cheers Ryan

looking at both the installation instructions i am not sure if the vl 32 will fit ,give them a call on 01244 284500 they will be able to confirm.

yes for the estate only on the 850 as per the witter web site,

I have a brand new Bosal swan neck bar for a 850 saloon never used, swoped car before fitting, twin electrics all mounting bolts and fitting instructions if you are interested.
