Default Coil Spring Assistors

hi all i towed with my v70 10v 140 bhp at the weekend it was great once i convinced myself it was never going to pull like my td4 landrover but it got up all the hills etc with a 1500kg of caravan on the back ,the only problem was the back of the car was very low so i am going to put some Coil Spring Assistors on the old girl to help it out a bit the rubber insert type i was wondering if anyone has the correct meshurment of the coil springs to save me jacking the car up ,it is a 1998 2.5 10v v70 many thanks ian.

I used Graysin assistors on my V70 and S60 and foung them to be very effective.

I'd looked at the spring assists, but went down the line of uprating the rear shocks with Monroe Load Levellers. The other option is to see if Salvo have a set of Nivomats and the associated hardware to fit your car

hi all got sorted with a set of coil spring assisters from towshure made by pyramid products and only 15 quid i will be takeing the caravan out next weekend so i will let you all no how i get on .

I fitted coil assisters to my '89 745GLE, the usual case of a car with nivo springs and dampers having dampers replace by std ones due to cost...

anyway, a few hints for fitting.
rub lots of washing up liquid on coils and boil the rubber assisters before fitting, it helps to soften them up while you fit them.
Much better towing afterwards, no fear of blinding oncoming drivers or dazzling Zeppelin pilots!

hi all just back with the van the new spring assistors where great glad i fitted them and well cheep the nice thing is when you are not towing you can not tell they are there , the only thing that is concerning me now is mpg i did not notice any change on the computer in the car it said i was geting 28ish mpg but the old girl was drinking it ,it will be intresting to see how far i can pull my van on a full tank .

Yes leave them on. Put a couple of cable ties on to hold them. I have them on a 940 se Estate.
