  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.
  • AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net users. Forum owners such as us are finding that AOL, Yahoo and Plus.net are blocking a lot of email generated from forums. This may mean your registration activation and other emails will not get to you, or they may appear in your spam mailbox

yeah had that happen with a vectra b engine in a c shell took the key out and it was still running 5 mins it lasted before the engine popped i bought my first volvo after that hunk of junk

And the nasty thing about it is: it is getting more and more common with modern diesels getting more and more "fragile". The worst thing is, people CAN save their engines, if they are able to stall it. But because we are all getting more and more lazy getting automatic transmissions, a simple "stall" is getting harder. And with the oil levels in diesel engines raising (due to the DPF systems) and therefore the diesel getting pumped into a slightly worn turbo being blown into the engine and igniting there, there is no way to stop it easily...

Volvo also has a few issues with their D5s (before ~2011) where the oil level rises and the engine just blows itself up...
