Default Headlamp washer leak

Hi all

I tried to tag onto an existing thread about washer bottles and leaks but have had no reply, so i thought a new one may be better? Simple question really, can anyone tell me how to access the tube which connects to the headlamp washer as i am sure it has come off. I am getting pools of water underneath the bumper at the offside, and the warning light on the dash comes on after a couple of squirts! Do i have to remove the bumper or is there an easier way?

Many thanks for any replies.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Got the same issue with the '05 S40 I just bought the missus. Puddle on floor under passenger headlight, washer bottle emptying in no time.

Big job, you need to remove the bumper and some other hard stuff to remove, let me get my Haynes manual out and have a look. Have been told it is a biggy though.

defo bumper off im afraid altho its not as tricky as it looks 6 screws in the arch liner each side and 6 top bumper clips and 2 screws take headlights out and bumper pulls off from each side . I had to take mine off to change the main washers not the jets the main bit the jet fits into . it could be just that the pipe has come on at the back were they clip in the clips are not very good like a small plastic horse shoe

o and you have to take your engine undertray off and the small tray that connects to front bumper/spoiler if you have one that's the hardest bit

No instructions in the Haynes manual although I think s40manbaz has covered it!
