It depends what you want out of a tyre.
I had Michelin Pilot Sport4s on 17 inch Orpheus alloys and did swap them for 18 inch Eudora alloys yesterday. I went for Michelin Pilot Sport 4s. That said, when I looked at the wear on the 17s I have done 7,000 miles in Gloria and the fronts were down to 4mm. The rear tyres are 7mm. She is chucking out over 360BHP but the wear was shocking. Even worse a new tyre has a nail and a screw in it. And I cannot find how to sell 4 Orpheus alloys with Michelin PS4s on this website...how do I do a new 'Sales' thread? |

Good to know, I haven't used them yet as have only just found them online and compared prices, always used a local tyre fitters but the service has gone downhill so decided to look elsewhere. Thanks for feedback.

Finally got round to changing the front tyres, went for Michelin Pilot Sport 4's as recommended on here.
Bought from Blackcircles using their 10% promotion. Paid about £91.00 each. Check out the horrors of my old Pirelli P7's at 5 years old, bad wishbone bushes started the wear, fixed that with new wishbones + hunters tracking in November 2018 but the wear just kept going. Having it tracked again this week: And the new tyres: I only do about 4 to 5K miles a year now so be good to see how they last.

Those pirellis look horrible. They look much older than 5 years.
You can't go wrong with Michelin. I was considering the Primacy 4, because they offer more comfort and my driving style does not warrant "sport" tyres. After long research I ended up with Falken ZE310-s. They are super quiet and perform good. My winter set are Michelin Alpin 6-s though. I trust them on slippery roads. Good brand. |

Welton, you aren't able to post pictures of your Hunter alignment form are you?
Just interested to see how it compares to my V50 that was recently aligned. I was advised against tracking a car with worn tyres as it would never be right. My tracking was out and wiped the inner edges off as well, leaving approximately 4mm across the rest of the tyre. Pretty gutted at such a huge waste. They'd worn quite well in the year they'd been on the car. I was running 205/50 R17 with GT Radial Champero tyres but have since downsized to 205/55 R16 with Kumho tyres

As said, you can't go wrong with Michelin. I replaced the Pirelli P Zeros on my last car (as recommended by manufacturer) as they were all cracked rather than actually worn out. I stuck with P Zeros on that car only to keep the warranty people happy...
