Wink Altenator? regulator? brushes?

Hi, is your altenator from Bosch? these are long lasting ones. have you checked the voltage regulator and brushes? You migth only need to renew the regulator.
this was the case for my 850-94/250kkm coule years ogo. costs < 50$, regulator in place renewal possible.

Hi there, its the spindle? where the drive belt goes on to,its completely worn, put a new belt on and it lasted about 5 miles, heard this is a Renault based engine so alternators on some of those may be the same?

Default Renault (France) vs. Bosch (Germany)

renault hardly uses Bosch altenator-too bad.
to get access to altenator migth need removal of power steering pump as well.
more work and time. Hope you find a suitable altenator for your volvo.

AFAIK that engine was also fitted to the Laguna.

Might be worth a shot bud.
