2011 S60 infotainment system keeps freezing
Hello everyone! I have a problem I hope you'd be able to help with: I drive a 2011 s60 and the media system/radio (small 5" screen) keeps freezing after a couple of minutes after the car starts.
I initially tried removing all bluetooth devices as I thought it might have something to do with that, but the problem persisted. The worst is the fact that other things like parking sensors also don't work when the screen is frozen. Do you guys know if there is any way I can update the system or do you have any suggestions? Thanks! |

I know you said you have removed all devices but I had the same issue and it was caused my by mobile phone.
It was very odd as the volvo information said it supported my phone but every time it was connected it "randomly" froze the system up. Deleting the phone and then buying a new phone was the only fix for me. |

I don't know when the last update happened or if there was ever any updates made. Would the update occur through the obd port? Also do you know if there's anywhere i can find out what the update is called? I looked everywhere but I couldn't even find the name of the media unit. |

You dealer will be able to scan the car and check if the vehicle has the latest software update in all of the devices (not just the stereo system)
As a owner/driver, you have no way to see the installed software versions. There are many. Checking the fitted software versions is always the very first thing to do with a problem such as you are having (and the same way you approach a problem on a Windows PC...)
