Best place is just to the left (passenger side) of the radar pod behind your rear view mirror, it wont interfere with anything and will be out of your line of sight, just make sure you leave room so you can access SD card and remove any plug in connector if they are on the pod side of the sat nav before fixing it to the screen. Cable will tuck in behind roof lining and run to A post.

Have a look at previous posts on this thread. My Goluk is mounted at the very top of the screen, to the left and fairly tight to the housing for the sensing devices.

Since my last post ive replaced the cheapy in the rear with a cheapish Ddpai mini which is very similar to the Goluk but now cheaper. You can get a pair of Ddpai , one for the back and one for the front, for less than £90 plus a couple of 32 Gb cards (not Sandisk) for £20 or so

Default Dashcam for 2008 XC90

Hello,

I've read a number of posts around fitting 3rd party dashcams. I've just bought one from AliExpress, and my questions are really just around the electrics. The kit has three wires - Red (ACC), Yellow (B+) and Ground. I'm trying to connect these directly into the fuse area to the right of the steering wheel, by the drivers door.

I have identified 2 10A slots, but I'm not sure which ones are 'switched' and which ones are 'always on'. Can anyone help me on this please?

Also, if this gadget is always on, is that going to have any real impact on the battery...or is it very minimal?

Thank-you in advance.
