Hi. try the Halfords Extreme Brilliance bulbs - I use them and have found a big improvement: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_205263
They're currently two for the price of one. Also check the reflectors in the lights themselves as they tend to dull with age.

If it's the usual problem of reflector pitting then I always feel buying "better" bulbs is a waste of money..in the end you have to bite the bullet and replace the unit...projector style/Hids etc are very good I'm sure...but cost a fortune.
I'll be replacing mine next year and I will simply go for the direct/OEM type replacement...and even that will cost me a small fortune.! You are looking at around £100-120 EACH to replace from the likes of ECP/PFV Neil

Thanks guys I will check the condition of the reflectors.Looking at the cars history it looks like the previous owner fitted ice blue bulbs in an attempt to improve things.I was talking to a friend online with an 850R who fitted an HID kit off ebay which he says was only around £45 but has made a huge difference ?
