  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way
  • AOL Customers: Make sure you check the 'Remember me' check box otherwise the AOL system may log you out during the session. This is a known issue with AOL.

I'd just by a known good lump and chuck it in - the non-turbo petrol engines are all the same as far as I know in the P2 range. If you go down this line, change the belts as a matter of course as you won't know their history.

A quick look on ebay shows prices from £150 for a bare engine and £200 complete with ancillaries - of course you have the cost to get the engine to the car as well.

The old engine may have damage at the top end as well as the bottom through oil starvation, so imo not worth the hassle of stripping/rebuilding.
