Following the saga of changing a flat tyre with the standard jack and the lowered chassis on my C70, I had new tyres fitted this morning and the wheel alignment done. But the machine showed that the rear wheels were quite badly out of alignment yet the guy doing the job said he couldn't see any way of adjusting them. Can the rear wheel alignment be adjusted, and if so, how?

The C70 does have adjustment for rear toe in , I would suggest taking it to someone who knows what they are doing as if they dont know how to do it how would they know the correct figures to set it to?

But interestingly enough the four wheel alignment machine they were using gave the actual and target figures - presumably it's stored in a computer database - but they guy claimed he couldn't see any way of adjusting it. Perhaps it was just too cold and wet under the car this morning! I have to go into my Volvo dealer on MOnday anyway with our V50 so I'll ask the guys there.

the toe adjustment for the left wheel is adjusted after slackening the bolts on the right side of the car where the left delta link wishbone attatches to the right wishbone , it is advisable to use new bots as they are stretch bolts ...
adjust the right wheel vice versa from the left side ...

It will be adjustable, my s70 had to be adjusted as it was way off though you're lucky that anyone other than a dealer even noticed it. I must have had mine done half a dozen times (by quikfit types) and nobody noticed it.
Your dealer will have the equipment to get it back square again, mine felt so much better afterwards.
