Tbh that was the first thing I checked as I had that all apart yesterday when I cleaned the idle control valve and throttle body everything I touched is still nice a secure as I left it when I finished.

That would be great and a real help if your not too far from me, north Essex, because tbh I don't really fancy driving the car too far whilst its not right I would rather not cause any "drive on" damage as a result of this boosting issue.

secure is good obviously but you wanna check for splits and cracks etc. also, probably wont be as simple as this but does the vacuum tree have all it's caps?

also, these pipes need changing at a bare minimum.

Cheers IRF, Yes I checked the caps are all still present and secure just now and all appear fine. While I was checking the hoses at the bcs I noticed that those vacuum hoses weren't in the greatest of shape and as a result those ones you have highlighted in the picture are the ones I plan to renew at the weekend. Is it possible I could have a blocked vacuum hose or bcs as a result of carbon build up somewhere?

Btw what is the part that hose 20, the red one, goes to at the turbo charger, is it the standard recirc valve?

i think the red hose comes to the front of the inlet manifold from memory. just in front/behind the radiator on the right side of the inlet manifold.
