Default Broken front coil spring !!

L Reg. 1993 940 se 2.4 TD TIC Estate. Hi all, yesterday, my volvo failed mot with a broken front coil spring. I didn't notice it when driving. My question is do I renew both springs, or can I replace the broken with a used one? The part # is 1329824 . Nordic doesn't do it. nor Braydons.Riders Truro can have it supplied direct from Sweden (taking over a week) at £40.80 each +VAT. Any ideas??? Peter, are you out there lad !!!!

I would either get 2 new ones, or get both of the springs from the spare car and fit them to yours. its best with cars to allways fit the same each side per axle.

GSF carparts have 940 springs at £26 each - unless yours differ (only seems to be one type shown).

Order online - http://www.gsfcarparts.com/ or download the .pdf catalogue - where coils springs appear with the shocks, not under 'suspension'.

Here I am Padrig butt, yes G,S&F and Eurocarparts can supply you with a pair to suit at around £25 each. They can deliver if you pay beforehand from the Cardiff shop or you can collect them in person. They are the correct item for our cars. Must check mine as I have to change the top bearings for the struts anyway.

All the best, Peter
