Hi Dan, are you getting Volvo withdrawal symptoms yet? - if so I've got a nice 850 T-5 saloon for sale in the sales and wants forum!
Erm....back on topic - it's pretty powerful!

Dont forget the old school. I think Don's S60 must be one of the fastest volvos in the country (given that it did the fastest FWD lap on the Track & Race Car test track).
And I have 309 ft/lb of torque.... Phil

So going by this thread, there isnt really any big powered volvo's in the uk that we know of, apart from stu's, ashoks and soon to be jo's and al's.
yes there is also spesh, but he does seemed to have dissappeared completely and its best i leave it at that. Yes there are those that say they are in the progress of building the the most powerful volvos in the uk, but untill we actually see anything we cant really consider them. so I think i will aim for around 500bhp as I already know whats needed for that which will simplify things a great deal. if anyone knows of any volvo's in the uk making 500bhp+ then let me know as i may have to change my plans.

Sounds like a good summary of the situation. IIRC Stuart was talking about quite a few fairly big power whiteblocks he had in the pipeline, including a couple to go in x40s....have those been included, or do they come into the banned 'work in progress' category (and I agree....no show, no count!)?

I would like to think mine is pretty powerful, not into the 300 range yet but not far away. I'm thinking of getting it dyno after the next set of parts go on it at the start of september.
