Aircon Compressor
Hi
The pulley on my aircon compressor is seizing up and stopping the belt turning, causing a huge squealing noise, so I'm after a working aircon compressor. Car is a 1997 940 LPT Celebration (Manual). Not sure of the part number, but I assume the compressors are the same on these regardless. I will see if I can get the part number off it tomorrow but just thought I'd throw this thread up now. Cheers Jim

Ive found one on eBay just down the road from me, but its from a 1997 Automatic car. Are the compressors on manual and auto cars the same?
Cheers

I can't see them being any different.

Aircon however, I can not live without, especially after just coming back from France, where it was mid 30's and bloody roasting! I want to get the compressor sorted before it packs in totally! How much for the compressor Andrew? Many Thanks Jim

compressor or electric clutch ?????
Are you a 100% certain that your problem lies with the compressor itself or
with the Electro/ magnetic clutch, which is normally the culprit. Bill |
