Default Aftermarket alternator

My Amazons engine does not have the engine mounting on the distributor side for mounting an alternator . Im going to fashion a bracket unless someone has one they would sell and what I really would like to know is what donor car and year people are using for a lightweight 50-55amp alternator so I can hunt one down. Someone must have fitted a japanese /nissan denso type alternator but there are so many on the market and I want to get one from a breakers I know will fit . The Lucas Acr type are a bit big to locate under the servo etc

Default Amazon alternator

I watched a video on you tube by Rob Henchoz of Amazon Cars yesterday showing how to fit a 55w alternator(supplied by Amazon Cars) in the same place as the original Dynamo which is wired up by deleting the voltage regulator and using the remaining wiring to connect to the alternator a ten minute job after modifying the adjustment bracket shape!

Hi Red122,

Highly recommend https://www.sw-em.com/swemkits.htm#Alt%20kit

I bought it and installed in about one hour, used a Delco type alternator made in China Alternador WAI-ALT-AMZ230 DELCO system, for which I paid around US$100
