Default Failed electrics

Recently I emerged onto a narrow local road late at night to drive home when suddenly all the electrics failed on my C30. As this coincide with full beam I restarted and drove home on low beam without incident.

Following further problems I took it my usual garage who had recently taken it through its MOT and the mechanic found a loose connection on the battery.

The electrics again failed when my wife was driving. She managed to get the car home.

The mechanic has promised to get an auto-electric technician to diagnose the cause.

Meanwhile I would be interested to hear from anybody else who has experienced a similar problem.

If you look back at my previous threads you will see that a few years ago I had a mouse problem. Is it possible that the mouse could have caused some damage to the wire harness, the effects of which have only now emerged?
