C30 T5 oil leak
I’ve noticed some oil marks on the road where I park my car. It’s a 2009 C30 T5, approximately 135000 miles.
Last week I had a mobile mechanic change the front brake pads and asked him to look at the oil leak at the same time. He had it jacked up with the engine running for around 40 minutes but was unable to locate the source of the leak. He did say he thinks it’s towards the back of the engine or it may be the sump plug. It was last serviced in December. I have also read that the seals on the turbo return pipe are common to fail. Are there any other common places to check? I had to have a reconditioned cylinder head fitted in 2022 due to cam belt failure and I’m pretty sure the cam seals were replaced then. The oil filter housing was replaced around the same time as well. Any pointers appreciated. |
