Default Electric window problem

Hi, has anyone ever encountered an issue with the driver side window? Approx a month ago ((2012 V50) it started to get slower, and I think that prior to that it used to auto close (but I’ll stand corrected on that as I’ve only had the car since the start of the year, and I can’t honestly say for sure). I then l started having to keep my finger on the control to close, until one day it just wouldn’t close, stopping around half way. After several minutes of sheer panic (on a car park a fair way from home and it was a wet and cold February day) and multiple attempts of close/half open, it eventually closed with a bit of pushing at the glass at the same time as keeping the button pressed. I’ve not dared to try the other windows, or touch it again, but I’m guessing it will be a new motor or switch? I’m presuming the others will be ok but too much of a risk to check. Any wisdom much appreciated, and would it be better to take it to a main dealer? Thank you 😊
