Default Idle Problem Solved

1996 960 2.5L 71000 miles.
I have posted previously regarding having a poor idle. Although idling at correct revs, engine did not sound smooth at all, but other than that it drove beautifully .
Bought a Fault Code reader which told me Cat front sensor was faulty.
Changed sensor (what an awful job to do)- ha, no change at all.
Finally found an ex Volvo mechanic who found the problem.
It was a minute inlet gasket leak on number one cylinder.
Gasket replaced - engine now smooth as silk.

Thank you all for replying to my previos postings.
