Smile Annoying clonk/clunk? The solution is here

Well after I have finally removed the bloody McGard wheel locks, the next step was to resolve the problem with the clunk.

It was easy to find out that the clunk noise was coming from front Anti Roll Bar link (Drop Links), so ordered a set of 4 (2x front and 2x rear), got the Meyle HD.

Done them all today, it was quiet easy to do about 1hr30min in total.

Do I realy need to get the tracking reset?

Is it easy job to replace/change the Tie Rod's?

Tie rods or track rod ends ?
If you change the TR ends for genuine Volvo jobbies and count the number of exposed threads before replacing the old one, you won't need to check the tracking.
People regard tracking checks as some kind of magic wand.
The reality is that they provide a rudimentary indication of static tracking.
They give no indication of what really matters, which is dynamic tracking (when in motion and at various stages of steering lock).
Until you've eliminated steering/suspension slop in worn components, tracking checks are a complete waste of money.
Spend the money on new parts and you'll find you're tracking's right back on when you get it checked (by someone honest).

So even after replacing all drop links there is no requirement to get the tracking done? Front tyres are wearing oneven!

And I ment track rod ends.

Droplinks have zero effect on tracking.
Uneven tyre wear is down to wishbone bush degradation.
Change your wishbones and TR ends - and anything else that's worn out.
And when you know it's all within wear limits, get your tracking checked.
Only two things cause bad tracking : -
1) - Component wear.
2) - Components bent by accident damage (which requires the kind of impact that would actually write your car off in most instances).

With regard to this threads title, there are many things that cause knocks from the fronts of P2 cars including the struts & steering rack
