Thanks for that Derek. I had looked through their web shop but not noticed that. It's my preferred option. Doing all the work here with replacement parts, valves, guides etc plus labor for seats would be in the region of €500 so it's not much more.So that price +shipping, probably around £60 is worth it. Will contact them. It's for B16 not B16b with higher comp' But I could get it skimmed by a thou or two if necessary.
Just been on KG website €4495sk but don't know if that includes tax. have made inquiries.

When I send head off for hard seats etc. I will also have it skimmed for flat. The comp' ratio is nominally 8.2:1. Would there be any advantage to having it increased slightly when I have it skimmed. B20b is 9.3:1. If so how much skimmed of. As far as I know no thinner gaskets available.

With petrol as it is I would just go for the least it needs skimming to make it flat. Your previous comment seemed to indicate that you might go for the exchange head and I would guess that you could specify and A or B cr head.
A is only 7.4:1 so 8.2:1 would be fine. If it goes to 8.5 or so, no problems. KG Trimning would advise as they supply the heads for Brookhouse. That's why they are a bit more expensive too. |

Al last I have been able to find a shop that can do the job here at a reasonable price so I am going that way.Brookhouse had no heads and KG were a bit tardy and unspecific in answering my emails. Shipping would have been €165 one way.So I will have new hard seats in exhaust, and light re cut on intake, new valves, guides and springs. The problem with leaking rear seal is still an issue. Perhaps the higher pressure in block was contributing to that.As you can see from the pic' I posted there is not a lot of space between carrier an crank.

Excellent, A good price. Think how much it would have cost to get your head back and forth to Holland or Sweden.

Did you see that April 24 Facebook post by Michael Karolak indicating that Krilles Motors has made up some new tappets?

Don't know about that but now everybody seems to have B16 lifters in stock now.I bought a set from KG Trimning and retro fitted them. After only a few hundred km the old ones which I had to use at the time were already showing wear one one plane only with not having the correct profile.
Misunderstood you. When you said tappets you were talking about Lifters/followers. Yes saw that
