Timing Belt Renewed

Hi at what mileage does the timing belt need changed on a Volvo 340 - 1987 model

Hi John.
If the car is a 1.4 it will have a timing chain and will never need changing.
If its a 1.7 with no history i would do it and the water pump just to be safe.

there are two versions of belt for the 1.7

124 tooth and I think the later one is 125 Engine number 51892-on

Green book has 80,000km (50,000 miles) / 48 months interval
