Very interesting as the Volvo Approved Used Car Warranty (which you get when buying from a Volvo dealer) refused point blank to pay for mine!

I did have to send them info showing it was part of the ABS system before they would pay out.

If your policy states ABS sensors are covered I would send them info on modern ABS systems and threaten the small claims court and proceed according to their reaction.

The insurance company that backs the warranty may not be up to date with what the latest ABS system consists of.

Hi, I have the Anti-Skid error on my volvo S40. Error traced to fault code BCM0090 (Lateral Accelerometer). Warrenty Direct are saying this is not covered under the ABS Sensors therefore not covered by my policy. Is this correct?

They tried to pull that one on me as well. They backed down and paid up when I sent them the info on modern ABS systems and contacted their complaints department.
