Default What rear shock absorber can I fit?

I have a 2003 (53 Reg) XC90 Diesel. The rear offside shock absorber has failed. I was told I need this part number 30639791 of which there are few to be found. I wanted to know what is the difference in terms of the part for this number 30683451 which seems more widely available? many thanks.

There are two types , only the dealer can tell you which is right by looking up the part , there is a marking on the chassis type plate which gives a code number for rear dampers . He should be able to get that from the factory build sheet , or they may both be superseded to one now . That sometimes happens
