Remember that a hot relay means bad contacts which means voltage drop and and/or unstable voltage and even arcing across the connectors.

This in turn means unstable power to everything downstream from the relay.

How the unstable power will affect the downstream components depends hugely on their design and when and how the unstable power occurs.

So definitely a problem you do not need, and good that you sorted it out.

Only time will tell if it was the root cause of your random stalling of the engine.... drive it for a few weeks and give us feedback...

Evening... well car appeared to be crusing ok till we had driven maybe 70 miles then the dreaded message popped up but there was no loss of power or any issue getting to Blackburn which was around another 30 miles away.

Same night drove from Blackurn to Manchester and message still there but drove fine. Next day cleared the error, drove back to Blackburn, back to Manchester and finally back to Derby without any return of the message.

In all I don't know what is going on???

So now it is time to connect VIDA and read the stored codes, and potentially monitor the engine while you drive.

You will quickly see what is wrong.
