can anyone tell me is there a headlight adjuster , up/dn other than the auto one that adjusts itself on start up ?????

I can't see why, when it's automatic? I've got no adjustment on my V60

If you have Xenon (HID) lights - which I think you have if they go up and down at startup - there is no leveling control from the cabin. They can be adjusted by the dealer, for some reason many Volvo's are supplied new with the headlamp aim set quite low.

The trick is to ask them to set the at the upper limit allowable for the MOT.

thanks both,my last crv had an adjuster and thought the d4 might have it hidden in its host of buttons.

If you open the bonnet and look down at the top of the lamps then you will see a couple of white hex headed bolts near the base of the units. I've read elsewhere that these can adjust the height of the beam.
Take care though, easy to adjust too high and then fail an MOT!
