Default Opinions on my tyre wear

This is probably not the 'inside edge' wear you were expecting but an 'overall' wear after 8000 miles.

All 4 tyres fitted new on the same day, this is 8000 miles (12 months) later.

Front N/S:

Front O/S:

Rear N/S:

Rear O/S:

All four tyres are wearing evenly across the tread, and the alignment/tracking seems good but the N/S rear is wearing more than the fronts! in fact they're all wearing at the same rate whereas you'd expect the fronts to scrub down quicker than the rears.

Why would this rear tyre wear out by itself?

Are they all from the same batch?. There will be a week and year of manufacture embossed into the sidewall.

The alignment on all P1x (C30, S40 and V50) is rather aggressive. The problem is, that Volvos alignment specs are too generous.

My rear is totally within Volvos specs...

That was even before lowering the car more and now the camber is like twice that (not to my taste...).

My tire wear is loads at the front, basically none at the rear...

Do you rotate your tyres? Volvo suggests to rotate them every 10.000 km (about every 6.500 miles) to get maximum life and proper wear...

Mine look like that at 50k miles. The rears do have more wear on inner edge but still very much legal.
