Having seen Shell's new Go+ loyalty programme and the fact it seems far more decent than their previous scheme, I decided several visits ago to fill up there instead of BP or Texaco where I was doing before. No difference in journey as I'm lucky enough to have a lot of choice on my commute. What's interesting is I'm convinced it's running worse on Shell Fuelsave diesel than Texaco's cheap and cheerful, whereas before I would have probably believed the opposite to be true.
Shell V Power Diesel seems to be better but not worth the pump price increase. One branch of Texaco in Nottingham (Meadow Lane) seems to be consistently the cheapest non-supermarket filling station locally so may switch back to that after I've claimed my free fuel from Shell next visit, just to see if I notice a difference. Filled up at Jet a few times in a row some time ago and didn't really notice any difference to usual.
