850 R Colour

Does anyone know what is the most desirable colour for the 850 R and what is the most rare?
Could be looking at one very soon manual as well!!! May have to sell both of my 850's quick to get this.

Both wrong

The 850R never came in Yellow, that was the T5R.

The saffron was only available on the V70R/S70R and the C70. No 850.

PNut, the T5-R was a liimited edition 850. There's specific associations of colours with particular cars. For example the Gul (Swedish for yellow) T-5R and the saffron S/V70R. The new generation V70R and S60R was first produced in a number of specific colours (as all Rs are) - the best known is flash green. Funnily enough the saffron colour is very closely matched by another similar colour which can be seen on some Classic 70 series. There's no problem if people don't know about particular marques and colours - just ask, as that's what our forum's here for :-)

To be totally honest I thought the black manual was as rare as hens teeth, I think siamblue hit the nail on the head. Now how much would one expect to pay, I personally think around 3500 to 3750 would be an ok price from a trader, would that be about right? Car has done about 135k with good service history not all Volvo.

The trouble is I have spotted one and me likes it (although not seen it in the flesh) so I may have to get rid of my two cars pronto (or you guys could have a whip round for me).

I have had 2 x T5-R's bought from under my nose before dam annoying so don't want to loose out again (you can see my impulsive side now).

What do you guys think, the guy will hold it for me up to about ten days I think, should I or should I not.

Black manual's the one I'd have gone for, but when the money was burning a hole in my pocket the auto was all I could find.

Paid a bit less than that, for less miles from a trader but slightly patchy history for the last 2 years.

Biggest cost was a new steering rack (£500 new from Volvo), so if you can get under it to look for leaks it might save you a bob or two...

yeah the 850r wasn't a limited edition as such tho was available in a bigger range of colours. the black t5r is pretty rare and was sold alongside the guls and olives. not sure how rare the 850r is in black tho. would be very nice
