Default 1998 Volvo V70R Saffron Manual for sale

Hi guys, open to reasonable offers on this after my sale fell through at £4750. I was initially asking £5500, I will take £4500 if it goes to a good home, but no less than that. Based in Sussex, but can arrange delivery and so on if required.

Some of you on here might recognise this one, but I have done a lot to it since you last saw it to make it nice again.

[IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT BUYING, PLEASE REFER TO THE VIDEOS AT THE END OF THE ADVERT, YOU WILL FIND THAT THEY ANSWER MANY OF YOUR QUESTIONS! Thanks! ]

Welcome to the advert for my lovely and sought after 1998 Volvo V70R finished in Saffron pearl. A FWD, manual, pre-ME7 model, which is the one you want!

This example was originally an automatic, but has been professionally converted to a 5 speed manual transmission by a Volvo specialist using all genuine parts.

The car is in very good condition for its age and mileage (143K) with only a few cosmetic blemishes, and is aesthetically original with its 17" Comet alloy wheels and Chrome grille.

The car has a few modifications which I will list here:

- 3" Stainless turbo-back exhaust system and angled turbo-housing by FluxFab, beautiful welds and V-band clamps
- Pipercross panel filter
- Remap by Shemtek Automotive
- 30MM Eibach lowering springs

In the past 2 - 3 years the car has had the following parts fitted:

- Low mileage manual transmission
- New 850R clutch
- New 850R flywheel
- New timing belt kit (10K miles ago)
- New vacuum lines and boost hoses

In the past few months the car has been worked through top to bottom, front to back, and has had:

- Rear brake disks, pads, and disk backplates
- Handbrake shoes and handbrake cables
- Offside rear brake caliper
- Nearside outer CV joint
- All four CV boots
- Both front lower control arms
- Power steering rack lines
- Aux belt
- Distributor cap and rotor arm
- Plugs, ignition leads, and ignition coil
- Battery
- Refurbished ABS module
- Thermostat and coolant temperature sensor
- Bosch MAF
- Tyres (Still have most of their tread left)

It had an oil and filter service only a few days prior to writing this advert, with a K&N Performance Gold wrench-off oil filter and Shell Helix HX8 oil. Has always been run on premium fuel in my ownership, and has always been allowed to warm up, and cool down.

There is extensive service history with the car, as well as its original service book, manuals, and wallet.

The car drives perfectly with no undue noises or vibrations, accelerates, stops, and turns smoothly.

There are a couple of small niggles (which may be addressed prior to sale):

- The air conditioning currently isn't working
- The drivers door doesn't unlock with the remote. (all other doors do, and the door locks with the remote, and works with the key)

Two keys

Long MOT (expires 29/03/21)

HPI clear

Private plate included and valued at £600

Viewing welcomed with appropriate social distancing precautions.

Sensible offers considered, any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Uh oh, I've ballsed it up! The images don't auto re-size on this forum, and the spoiler tags didn't work!

And I can't seem to edit the post...

I havent seen a moderator in all the time I've been here. Pics are large but not overly massive so wouldn't worry too much.

Thanks!

Could you remove all the huge ones in the ad body, minus the first one? <3

Otherwise everyone will have to scroll for 40 years.

If thats not possible without also removing the attachments, don't worry!
