I prefer an All Season tyre. I have Kleber Quadraxers on my 940. (185/65 R15 ) They’re good in wet and snow and seem to last for ever.
We have Nokian Weatherproof SUV on my daughter’s XC70 ( 235/50 R18 ). They are very good in all conditions. Unfortunately with front wheel drive and a lot of urban driving with roundabouts, the outer edges of the front tyres wear rather quickly, especially the left hand one. I would have fitted Kleber but they’re not available in that size. Usually obtained on line from Oponeo and fitted by our friendly helpful tyre fitter.

The crossclimate is a neither here nor there tyre, its both a summer tyre and a cold weather tyre. Its a great tyre, but its not a direct rival to these tyres here, that would be the Primacy, hence its inclusion. Jon is testing the Crossclimate, in with a load of all season tyres, which, is what it is more than its a summer tyre, even though it is a summer tyre with winter capability. Clear as mud really! 😂😂 |

The test isnt complete yet, covid got in the way, he'll be publishing it in the autumn iirc in time for cold weather tyre season.
If you look on tyre reviews there are a number of tests and user reviews of Cc, and you're welcome to ask me owt too, as I did a back to back test of Cc and primacy 3 (here https://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Articl...-lgXYHQF8FXXnU also in there you'll find a link to Jon's initial test of Cc and peers) and have used the Cc on 3 different cars, primacy on 2. (Still using the Primacy as yet...) Last edited by AndyV7o; Aug 8th, 2020 at 19:40. |
