I really didn't see the V70 walking this one!!!

Must be due to it being the only model in the current range that gets anywhere close to resembling the Old Guard in it's proportions - 200/700/900 etc!

Would be intresting to compare this against the Volvo sales statistics to see what the most common new car bought is compared to the opinions of this forum.

Out of the current lineup - probably a C30 or C70*, although I've only driven the former (and it seemed pretty ace) so I voted for that. Not that sure about the newer front end but it did look better in the 'metal' than in pics.

A year ago I'd have picked a V50 but they don't make them anymore, just the V40 and it looks too much like a BMW 1 series for my liking...

* Prefer look of mine though!

I think the V70 was the best selling car in Sweden for years, but maybe I imagined that? I suppose everything is a bit up in the air at the moment with all these crossover things blurring the lines. V70 was cancelled in the States, yet XC70 sells well.

We can probably get sales data for the UK on the Volvo media site. I'll take a look later

So the XC60 is the top-selling Volvo globally, and sales are increasing for it.

Globally in 2012 the XC60 was the best seller, followed by S60 then V60.
