B230K PCV pipe
There is a pipe on my engine running directly from the underside of the intake manifold down to a connection on the base of the engine block. It's just a straight bit of pipe, no filters or traps, but it looks very like a PCV connection.
Does anyone know if the flame trap is omitted on a K or has the previous owner altered something? Cheers, Cap

Yeah, thought I had one actually, but it's been lost.
I'll get under the car tonight and take a picky of all pipes on that side of the block and see what we have / have not. Cheers.

Harder to photograph than I thought! Anyway, it's this pipe I'm talking about.

Hi capt..I dont think thats the flame trap..The flame trap is a rubber pipe inline filter that connects to the oil trap box to the right of the pipe you are enquiring about and to be honest with you i have no idea what that pipe does..its connected the the block and intake manifold by what looks like a hex bolt..I can only imagine it vents pressure on the down stroke but does look to be connected to the erg system somehow..I"m curious to know as well..you should see the flame trap up towards the bulk head sitting between the first and second intake connected to the head..Cheers..hj.

Is it a pipe or simply a support rod?

Thanks Joe, thought it needed to be hiding somewhere!
Interesting thought that it's not a pipe at all. I thought it was as it looks like a banjo union at the base, but I suppose it might just be a supporting rod. I'll maybe loosen the bottom off and see. Thanks for the input, doing a carb swap after I get the gearbox sorted and I don't want any big surprises!
