Thanks this car was originally on a N plate it now has Swedish plates? The delivery booklet states it was delivered to London so this all makes sense.
Would love to get it back on the road but haven't got the time to repair it so have listed it on eBay. I'm worried someone will buy it and brake it for spares. what is the earliest one still on the road? |

Hi have a 245DL first registered 1st March 1975. Had it about three years but had to take it off the road last year as it failed its MOT. Hoping to have it back and sorted by beginning of summer......if I'm lucky :-)

Oldest two series
Hi everyone. Bit late replying to this thread but I did finally manage to get the old girl back on the road last summer after fixing the mot failure bits including 2 x rear arches replaced & steering rack gators replaced. I take her out at the weekends but she's running a bit lumpy without the choke partially open which I need to look at. Anyway I believe she one of only two 245 DL's licensed in 1975.
Sorry I'm struggling to upload the photos for some reason but will try again shortly |

I have a 1975 DL model with just 27,000 miles dry stored for 36 years. May be interested in parting with it for a serious offer.

Finally managed to upload the photos of my 245DL. She' been under cover for a while so will need a good clean but will be back on the road within the month after I've had a bit of welding completed on the sills.

I've just bought the gold 264 that was on ebay.
Bought blind, I know one day I'll learn lol, turned up Friday. Think I paid too much.... as usual! Seller claimed it was MOT standard........ it's not! Lol. But it was registered in August 76. Is this the oldest 264? I wonder if it stood a while before being bought. Can we find construction dates? |

1975 model year was still the 164 alongside the the 240. The 260 came in for the 1976 model year (Aug 75). You can ask Volvo for build date info
